SHA-256 of the installer
After downloading you can verify the file is untouched: run Get-FileHash on it in PowerShell and compare with this value.
Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, 64-bit
Install it with:
sudo apt install ./netmagen-vision_1.8.3_amd64.deb
Raspberry Pi 5 or 4 (8 GB), Ubuntu 24.04 or newer, 64-bit
Install it with:
sudo apt install ./netmagen-vision_1.8.3_arm64.deb
Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- About 1.5 GB of free disk space, plus room for the recordings you keep
- Cameras with RTSP on your local network
If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC"
On first run SmartScreen may stop the installer. Here is how to continue:
- In the blue "Windows protected your PC" dialog, click More info.
- Check that the app name reads NetMagenVision-Setup, then click Run anyway.
- Setup continues normally; the warning appears only once.
The installer is unsigned while the product is new — code signing is built on reputation, and until then Windows warns about any program it does not know yet.
The SHA-256 above lets you verify that the file you downloaded is exactly the one we published.
What's new 1.8.3
The AI tab makes the choice of transcription service obvious: two cards, one of them clearly selected, each saying whether it is ready.
Changed
- The AI tab shows the two transcription services as two cards. Each card says whether it is ready (key set, token balance, or sign in), and the selected one is outlined in blue.
Fixed
- Radio buttons were invisible on the dark theme. The unselected circle did not show at all and the selected one was a faint grey dot.
Notes
- Keyboard and screen readers: all four arrow keys move between the two services, pressing a card focuses it, and screen readers read each card's subtitle and status.
- Linux and Raspberry Pi: the same changes; released on all three systems together.
