Plan CCTV bandwidth by adding the configured stream bitrates on each shared path, leaving headroom for traffic peaks, and checking the recorder, switch uplinks, wireless segments and internet upload connection separately.
Choose local recording for internet independence and central playback, edge recording for camera-level resilience, and off-site recording to separate footage from the property. Use a hybrid design when important views need to remain recorded across several different network, equipment and physical failure scenarios.
Install each contact across a fixed part and a moving part, verify alignment on the actual frame, and plan separate detection for every sliding panel or shutter movement that must be reported. Test the complete travel of the opening before final fixing.
Security camera IR glare happens when the camera’s infrared illumination reflects from glass, nearby surfaces, dirt, droplets or webs back into the lens. Correct placement, clean optical surfaces, separated illumination and testing in full darkness are the practical fixes.
